Boat Mate - Sea Rocket

Mates are responsible for providing and maintaining a safe and engaging trip with all passengers. They are to ensure that they are constantly doing the best they can to show guests a great time. The average day begins with the first trip at 10:30, ending with a scheduled sunset cruise every day. Opportunity to earn significant tips.
Essential Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
· Cleaning of the vessel at the beginning & end of each day
· Assisting booth attendants with all functions of loading and offloading customers
· Keeping the boat & dock area free of trash
· Greet new guests, explaining the boat rules, and encouraging their participation.
· Follow daily procedure for opening and closing of activities center, including pool area, locking appropriate doors, and cleaning up
· Keep inventory of guest participation, equipment, and guest interactions daily
· Responsible for enforcing safety rules and procedures with guests. Ensure guests' safety during trip
Performs other duties as assigned
Provides regular and reliable attendance
Job Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or pursuit of a high school diploma, GED Equivalent
· Must be 18 years old or older
· 2+ years working in a customer oriented job
· First Aid or CPR certifications are preferred
Success Factors:
· Good Attitude
· Willing to work long hours when necessary
· Must be enthusiastic, upbeat and energetic
· Ability to work a diverse work schedule to include weekends, holidays, and evening hours.
· Comfortable with public speaking/able to memorize boat and OC area facts
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member frequently is required to walk and stand. The team member will regularly lift boxes of supplies weighing up to 50 pounds between locations and occasionally lift/move up or over 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and ability to adjust and focus.
